September’s member of the month goes to Lucas Gonzalez. Quite the cocktail of cultures, Lucas is half-French and Spanish, raised in Mexico and soon to marry a luck German lady in Spain next week.
Lucas’ 15 years in hospitality has seen him managing F&B at the likes of Four Seasons, Fairmount, Kempinsky, Pullman, Ladurée and currently Mariage Frères.
His most recent challenge was to launch a six-floor building in Covent Garden, creating an F&B concept for one of the most beautiful restaurant/tea room/event spaces in Central London. Cheers Lucas, see you at the bar!
This month’s superstar member goes to Neil Rankin. An almost daily visitor and great TRADE brand ambassador. Neil is Chef/Owner of Temper; a whole animal barbecue taqueria which has three sites in London. He started his career in Michelin level fine dining before discovering his love for meat and fire whilst working for BBQ guru Adam Perry Lang. Neil went on to open Pitt Cue company, relaunch John Salt in Islington and then opened two Smokehouse restaurants with Noble Inns. Neil has published a meat bible called ‘Low and Slow – How to cook meat’ with Penguin Books. Neil is currently developing his own meat-free burger, soon to be released later this year.
Our superstar member for May is Kasia Sadowska, GM of The Palomar and The Barbary. Kasia wins a £100 TRADE bar tab for being an excellent TRADE ambassador.
What does Kasia love about working in hospitality? “You get to live and breathe good food and wine…what’s more important in life?! Chosen for his riotous sense of fun, and for bringing lots of industry faces through the TRADE doors, April’s Member of the Month goes to Willem Pincon. Santé Willem!
